Five Oaks is proud to be actively pursuing Historic Status for several sections of our neighborhood. We have partnered with the City of Dayton to develop Historic mini Neighborhoods within Five Oaks, and retain our historic churches and institutions.

The preliminary survey is near completion and maps will be made available in the next few months.

Kenilworth Historic District

The Kenilworth Historic Neighborhood in Five Oaks showcases diverse architectural elements and style. The classic 1910 to 1930's homes range from Craftsman, Tudor, Colonial, Foursquare and Cotswold Cottage. Most homes are situated on large wooded lots with 40' set backs and maintain some of the highest resale values in the area.

The Kenilworth Historic District is located a short 5 minutes from Downtown Dayton but retains its country estate image, with elaborate landscape details. Kenilworth is a well maintained and quiet neighborhood that can offer City Living along with Old World Charm..
